Hey guys! I am having some seroius trouble with popups and added icons to my desktop. I have ran though your fourms and tried everything. I would love it if one of you would please take a look at my HJT and tell me what I am missing.

Ewido just picked up an infected file.

File: gshbdaeg05.dll
Path: C:\WINDOWS\System32
Infection: TrojanDownloader.Lastad.h

And

File: gshbd.exe
Path: C\WINDOWS\System32
INfection: TrojanDownloader.Lastad.h

Ewido tells me to reboot to clean these files but they are still there once i reboot.

OK here we go

Please download Cleanup from here:
Cleanup. Do not run it yet.

Set up PC to show hidden files.(Click link if you do not know how)
Show hidden files

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. This may take some time, so go grab a coffee. Once it finds the first issue tick the box for all. Post the log from the scan here for me.

Then please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

C:\Program Files\Updates from HP\137903\Program\BackWeb-137903.exe

Now run Cleanup

Restart your computer in normal mode

Run this online virus scan: ActiveScan - Save the results from the scan!

Rescan with HJT and post the log back, as well as the log from the Ewido scan and panda.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't able to find the winstat12.dll but I found the other two files.

Hi again.

I need you to copy all of the Killbox file paths below and paste them into Notepad.

* Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit. *In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
Unzip it to the desktop.

* Please run Killbox.

* Select "Delete on Reboot".

* Open the Notepad file where you saved the file paths earlier and copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing CTRL + C:

* Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

* Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

Let me know when it's done
