I don't know where to put this thread but I decided to put it here, if any admins can move the thread to the right place or inform me if it's in the right place. Anyway, me and a few friends online decided to start out own gaming forum and I don't know that much about softwares or computers myself and my friend asked me if I knew any good forum softwares that are not expensive, we don't have that much money to put in to this project. If anyone of you have any good ideas post them in a comment and a direct link to their website.

Kind regards, Phifen.

I agree with azarl. I've ran many PHPBB forums in the past, and not only is it very good, but it's quite easy to figure out as well.

Also try MyBB. It's free and very easy to use. It's got a very active development team as well rolling out updates frequently.
