Linux wont detect my internal modem

Linux doesnt detect my internal modem for some reason if anyone can help me please help me :tazz: and i will be really grateful ;) i tried to switch slots and it still wont detect it...and i am using fedora core 3 gnome if you are wondering...

Try searching google for the name of the modem plus Linux... you will probably get some results. We could help you more if you gave us some more info as well... brand, etc.

its a lucent winmodem...umm i didnt open my computer yet...if u want any more info i will give it to you

if your lucent winmodem is using the conexant chip, you can get a free driver from http://www.linuxant.com, If you need fax capability, or want a higher connection rate, they require a $15 USD payment for full usage.
