I am trying to do a password recovery in a dell Inspiron 3647. The password will not let me past the login screen. It says the username or password is incorrect but if I do it in safe mode it works. Then it says the user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. So I did a restore and that did not help either. The I did a reset password with a usb and that did not work either. Is there anyone else having a problem with this. Dell told me it is a software problem and I should format the computer. My friend has a lot of info she does not want to lose. She is an older lady and did not back her work up. If I could save it for her it would be great.

Thank you

Hi ginnyjoe :)

Sadly, GeeksToGo doesn't provide assistance with password recovery issues, since we cannot establish the ownership and permissions over the Internet.

Due to the nature of online help we are not able to verify ownership, and will not be able to help bypass or recover any user passwords, cd keys, license codes, serial numbers, etc.

We won't be able to assist you with that issue here, sorry.
