Would it be possible for me to just disable panda temporarily? I'm pushing my limits just doing that, but I would like to avoid uninstalling panda if there is any way I can help it.

Thanks, Ryan

Yes, I think so. I re-installed panda and now it only has the problems it had before.

Thanks, Ryan

Ok Ryan, I am going to get some one opinion on this one.

Can you Post A Hijackthis log. The start up list again. and the silent runners
Also tell me exactly whats going on with the computer.
  • Please click this link to download Silent Runners.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet, just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt "All Done!", double-click on the new text file on the desktop and copy that entire log and paste it here.

    Startup List
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on the configure button on the bottom right
  • Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
  • Check off the 2 boxes next to the Box that says "Generate StartupList log"
  • Click on the button "Generate StartupList log"
  • Copy and past the StartupList from the notebook onto your post
Thanks,

:tazz:

that's what hjt says, and I can't seem to run silent runners.
The firewall on panda doesn't work properly and most of the time doesn't save changes on restrictions and such. Also I occasioally BSOD with wimdows faulting panda.

Thanks, Ryan

YOu still have parts of Sygate Firewall on your computer, and I feel that casuing a conflict with panda that may very well be casusing your other problems.

I do not know how to remove it, and the last time you tried to help it caused problems, so I think I'll just actually install sygate then uninstall, because I never installed it before.

As of yet I have had no luck with returning functionality to panda or fixing page file usage. I just thought I would check back in to say so.

Thanks, Ryan

I did have one other thought. I want to know if I sent you an executable file if you could tell me how to undo it's changes. Many problems seemed to start with the install of a driver for my internet service using an executable file. Since then I have had problems with my control panel and internet connection, and now I know I have problems with my firewall I would like to know if they may be related.

Thanks, Ryan

Hey Ryan,

Did you see that Metallica has responded to your thread here:

http://www.geekstogo...showtopic=39718

Open HiJackthis and do a scan. Please check off the following entries:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IPInSightLAN 01] "C:\Program Files\Visual Networks\Visual IP InSight\Voyager ATX Agent\IPClient.exe" -l

Click FIX CHECKED and close HJT.

Just cleaning up a few not needed programs on startup.

Thanks for reopening. I recently noticed that at one program in particular seems to cause BSOD's. This is my brother's game, "Return to Castle Wolfenstien". I think it may push the system too hard, but I would like to know what areas the game may be pushing. 25-50% of the time when the game is loaded, it crashes loading the graphics engine, so I wonder if it may be my graphics card or something related to it, but I would like a more experienced opinion. Also, I realize now, this is probably not malware related, so I put the same info on the other topic.

Thanks again, Ryan
