Hey.. So, i'm building a 1650$ PC and this is what i got until now.

Processor : Intel-i7-4790K

GPU : XFX Radeon R9 290x Double Dissipation 8 GB 512Bits

PSU: Corsair Series 600Watt

RAM: HyperX Impact HX318LS10IBK2 16GB 1866MHz

SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB, SATA 6Gb/s     (I will buy later a cheap HDD for porn and nonsense)

And what i need is a Case and a Motherboard for these components... help? :D

EDIT: This is the new PSU : Corsair CP-9020077-EU CS650M CS Series Modular 80+ Gold PC (650 Watt, ATX 12V 2.4)

:welcome: Nolphior>

Please give us a little more info so that we can better configure a build for you.

What will be the main purpose for the computer?   general purpose/office/browsing/video streaming/light gaming?   Enthusiast gaming?   Over-clocking?   Workstation, video/photo/audio editing?

In which country will you purchase components?

What OS will you use?

What monitor are you going to use.?

Tell use the model number of the PSU you have selected?

Thanks.

I plan to use it for hardcore gaming, around 8-16 hours a day, and a little bit of rendering. I will purchase the components in Austria. I will use windows 8.1 64 bit. Probably 10 after the build is done. Monitor ... i don't really know what monitor i have.. right now i have a [bleep] one and my good one is in another country i have to take it in 2 weeks and i really don't know the model. It's 1920x1080 i believe. This is the PSU :

Corsair CX Series 600Watt Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX/EPS Netzteil (CX600M)

Thanks for quick answer!

Thanks for the info.

Have to go out for the day but will post a complete build this evening.

You will not need an i7, the R9 290X will not bottleneck an i5 4690K, Google, XFX Radeon R9 290x bottleneck a i5.

I would advice a better quality PSU, 650w Gold.

As you have a good monitor, Will leave that out of the list.

Catch you later.

Gday.

The RAM you selected is not completable with your build it being Sodimm, > http://www.kingston....ls10ibk2_16.pdf

To get close to your budget, had to drop the SSD to 250GB, this is still enough for the build.   We may be able to get the price down, Amazon is not listed on CPP.   Also could look again at the GPU.

A build to consider, > http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/342Xzy

Hope you don't mind me chiming in folks  :)

Not sure of the shipping cost so please check but the Asus GeForce GTX 970 Turbo here is worth a look, it cost less and is faster but as said the shipping cost could be high.

Some basic benchmarks here

Thanks for the input, always welcome Phillpower2.

Looking at a few reviews, your right, the GTX 970 4GB performs better than both the R9 290/290X and I favour the G_sync GTX cards.  Prices here are very similar across the range.

Nolphior

Great you have the OS, saving a little cash, happen you could consider a GTX 970, this is my card, could not be happier with performance and very quite, > https://www.kogan.co...&utm_source=dgm

This search site can save you money, but takes a little time.   If you use the advanced search, you can filter the results by State > http://www.staticice...u/advanced.html

Gday.

Been a while since we heard from you.   Did you finalize you hardware list?   Started the build yet?   An update would be appreciated.

Thanks.
