Windows update (1 of 1) has been going on for 90 minutes now....

Never seen anything like this before; the windows update seems to be hanging.

Anything to do?

I actually moved it next to the router thinking that might help, but it doesn't.

Its been going on 6 hours now.

See if you can restart. If it's hung up in a restart then all I can suggest is to drop power (press and hold the power button in until it turns off). Not the optimal solution but not a lot else you can do.

 

Power up then run chkdsk /r from a Elevated Command Prompt.

Reply Y when asked if you want to run on next boot, then restart again.

Once chkdsk finishes (can take an hour or more) then try the update again.
