How to access online irc client?

Hi

 

When I go to the gotogeeks irc page the applet isn't showing.  Just blank with a  cross.

 

Do I need to enable something or download a particular software because the site doesn't prompt me or recommend anything.

No any software required for IRC Chat! what about trying different browser?
