Hi there,

I have built my own computer and generally don't have too many problems and the ones I do I can usually fix. This particular problem is being nasty and persistent, so maybe someone on this site can help me!

The Symptoms:

Yesterday I decided upon release to play some Star Wars: Battlefront. It prompted me saying that my video card drivers were out of date and I would need to update. Not a big deal, so I went to the nVidia website and grabbed new drivers. Installed and carried on my way. The game ran for something like half an hour and didn't seem to show any problems, then I blue screened. Obviously a problem, I thought it might be my new drivers, so I tried the second newest version: blue screened again. I continued fiddling around with drivers and I could not stop blue screening, I tried a clean install of my gfx drivers and nothing. Now I blue screen not only while playing Battlefront, but also while playing any other game it seems.

What I've Tried:

  • Updating all other drivers (could've missed one perhaps)
  • Clean install of latest GTX 660 drivers
  • Clean install of second-third GTX 660 drivers
  • Reading the dump files myself: either I'm illiterate (very possible) or I can't figure it out.

System/Extra Info:

If there's any extra info I neglected to add that's needed just let me know, I'm on my umpteenth hour of trying to figure this out so my mind is a little fried. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read this.
