Hi,
Hello,
My daughter dropped her computer and a few months later it stopped working completely. Just bought her a new computer, but when I went to install Office 2013, I found the product key was not written on the CD I received when I purchased a hard copy from Digital River through MS HUP program. I spent some quality time on the MS Office support line last night trying to get the key to no avail.
Any suggestions short of purchasing a new copy at retail? My company is not in the HUP program right now.
As per the Microsoft HUP rules when the Company doesn't have Microsoft Office licensed the right to use the product ends!
Who qualifies for the Home Use Program (HUP)?
The Home Use Program is a Software Assurance benefit available to Microsoft volume licensing customers with active Software Assurance coverage on their Office applications. Employees who use the covered licenses at work are eligible to purchase these Office applications for use on a personal device during the term of their employment. This temporary license expires with the employer's Software Assurance coverage, or upon termination of employment with the covered organization.
To reinstall:
How do I re-install software that I have already purchased?
You can reinstall the software at any time by accessing your Order History.
If you purchased a Backup DVD or Backup USB Flash Drive you can also use the DVD or Backup USB Flash Drive to re-install the software.
Please note that you may only re-download or buy additional products if the Software Assurance agreement is still valid and you are an active employee of the company.
My experience is that when the Software Assurance isn't active the information isn't available on the Order History.
