So I've had my desktop for over 3-4 years now and I want to get a new graphics card. I'm wondering if it's okay to use 2 graphic cards because I don't want to throw away my current one. Any advice would be appreciated as I don't know how these things work.

Right now my current graphics card is a Quadro 4000. I was looking at the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960. Is there something I need to know if you have to find something compatible? Thank you as I am completely clueless :)

Gday  Red Hekate,  :welcome:Clould you provide a little more info please.

Do your presently run the computer as a workstation?   Or is it a general purpose machine and occasional gaming?

Your Quadro GPU is a workstation card, it has 10 bit Colour output, "Pro" drivers optimized for things like CAD/AE + Support.  You can game on it, but that's not what is designed for, and you change to a regular GTX, this would be the result

It is possible to use both cards in the system but if it is purely gaming, the Quadro will bring nothing to the table,

Quadro new, about $350, possible $180 used.

Gday.

You did not respond to question asked.   Do you still need some help?   A update would be appreciated.

Thanks.
