i need to find a program similar to advanced process termination...it's a program that will disable things like mediaaccess.exe and mediacck.exe, as my cpu is infected with them and i'm having an impossible time trying to disable them(the program only works in winxp and 2000 not 98)...if u guys know of any similar programs that would be great

Hello and welcome to Geeks to Go! :tazz: I'm kool808 and I will be helping you today.

In the future please DO NOT post your HJT Logs in this forum unless told so.Even the best antispyware programs are only able to remove about 70% of infections. Also, the line between spyware and trojans is getting blurred. You can never be too careful with these, I recommend at least one online scan.

Now, REBOOT in Normal Mode and have an On-line scan at this sites: Trend Micro or Panda Scan or BitDefender.

REBOOT again.

ok thanks for your post but i did all that previously and i couldn't get rid of the mediaaccess stuff....i had to wait until for some reason it had to end task on it's own so i quickly ran and deleted the folder it was in....i run spybot everyday same with ad-aware...and i go to the norton online scan and panda active scan about once a month or twice a month....and i'm still having troubles with multiple reboots (from a different post) and nothing is showing up on any of these scans

We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool HiJackThis, read the short tutorial HERE

Post a log as a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
