I do not know where to post this and can't find a forum for it.

When I install Adobe Flash Player several sites have no audio sound. I have run across several sites that say the latest version has problems. I have tried to install previous versions with no luck.

I am using Firefox and Windows 7

Please direct me to the right place.

Thanks and Happy New Year :headscratch:

1) If you click on the Speaker icon in the systray (may be hidden by windows) and then on Mixer is the slider for Firefox up to the top and not muted?

2) Have you tried using Chrome to visit the sites?

https://www.google.c...rowser/desktop/

It uses a different Flash player.

3)  Can you give me a link to one of the sites that doesn't work?

Thanks for your reply.

I checked the mixer. The Firefox volume was all the way up.

I installed Google Chrome and the website that I often listen to works fine on the audio. The site is liveatc.net

The other sites work fine in Firefox without the Adobe Flash player (AFP) being installed. I will check other sites where I could not get pictures without AFP. This all just happened when Adobe issued the last update. Or at least I think so.

I have checked for other problems with AFP on the web an do not find much.

This is a temporary fix I hope as my preference is to use Firefox and DuckDuck go. I cannot stand Google tracking my every move.

Happy New Year! :spoton:

liveatc.net  seems to work on my Firefox with Flash 20.0.0.267 when I listen to Seattle.

Try starting Firefox in with add-ons disabled:  Click on the settings (3 horizontal bars in upper right corner)  then on Help (the question mark toward the bottom of the little window) then Restart With Add-Ons Disabled.  Restart, Start in Safe Mode.

Well all seems to be OK now. I installed the latest version of Adobe Player and then started Firefox in the safe mode. Then checked the volume mixer and there was an Adobe Player bar that was muted. It was not there before. When I un-muted it then the sounds are working in the Firefox regular mode. I guess this sequence did the trick.

Thanks for all your help! :spoton:
