Hi all:

Just upgraded my dell inspiron 1501 with a new solid state HD, and more memory.  Originally running Vista Basic.  A friend loaded Windows 7 64 bit and it operates fine!! with an exception,,turns out it is a pirated copy and I get these errors all the time from Microsoft.  So fair enough,,but before I go and purchase a legal copy of Win 7 64 bit I have been thinking of downloading a linux free operating system.  My question is can I use this computor and have 2 operating systems on it?  and select the operating system that I want to use at any particular time.  Not sure if I have posted in the right place? but thanks in advance for any advice.
