anime studio: problem creating new vector layer

hey guys i just started using anime studio; i was creating a character and i encountered a problem; after creating the head of the character, i was about to create the ear in the same bone layer with the head of the character but i couldnt because anytime i click on the "ear layer" in the layers panel; all i see is a white screen. please i need help.
