My Windows 2000 / IE System has been hijacked by IWANTSEARCH. Whenever I open IE it forces the homepage to IWANTSEARCH from my preferred YAHOO. Many popups are downloaded which prevents me from doing any work on the computer. I have tried a number of SPYWARE tools ie: SPYBOTT. I have also downloaded AD-Aware from your site.

Whenever I try to run the SPYWARE Software I get a Message Box
ie:
FROM AD-Aware.exe NO Disk

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk into drive\Device\Harddisk2\DR4

Cancel Ok Continue


This message comes up during other applications as well. I'm sure that's also from the same system corruption because all the symptoms appeared at the same time.


I had also installed Hijaak Blaster to allow me to be notified whenever an attempot was made to change my IE settings. When I returned to my computer this afternoon This program was cycling rapidly and not allowing me to exit.

At this point I have virtually given up hope of ever recovering my computer.
