Hello Geeks. I'm trying to troubleshoot a friend's machine, and the Hijackthis log is a mess. I cant put my finger on any one problem, because there are so many. He's got a whole lot of problems, but I'll be able to get them fixed. I cant run spybot all the way through--it crashes in the "delete" phase, and Ad-Aware crashes too. Thinkin its a CWSearch thing. Anyway, here's the log.

Let's go in manually and delete these bad boys <_<. You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure. Please move Hijack This to a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following:

C:\Program Files\TV Media\
C:\WINDOWS\nem219.dll
C:\WINDOWS\bi.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ATPART.DLL (name starts with this)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Setup\
C:\Program Files\Incred\ (name starts with this)
C:\Program Files\SideFind\
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvms.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mscb.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\msbe.dll
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\SahAgent.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Belt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hueeqq.exe
C:\Program Files\WildTangent\
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\
C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\
C:\WINDOWS\afon.exe
C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Almost there, just a little cleaning up to do <_<.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\AutoTBar.exe <- Ask them what this is. If they don't know, delete it
C:\Program Files\PowerGED\ <- ^Same as above^
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe <- IS SPYWARE. Runs independtly of RealOne tracking users habits and sending results back to their servers.

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = localhost
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
O4 - Startup: AutoTBar.exe (If deleted)
O4 - Startup: Organize.lnk = ?
O4 - Startup: Update PowerGED.lnk = C:\Program Files\PowerGED\WiseUpdt.exe (If deleted)

If they do not use Yahoo Messenger, fix this one too:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\ypager.exe -quiet
Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log, and let us know how your system's working. :D
