Is there a 'Auto hide task bar' bug?

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have to put it to one side to click on bottom screen buttons - even there it doesn't hide.

 

Any ideas why this doesn't work?

Unlock your taskbar if you want it always auto-hidden. The option should be there if you right click it...

Thanks for responding. My task bar is always unlocked. It can hide and not hide at any time - it's very odd and frustrating.
