:tazz: I current Have a Dell 4700 not even a year old. Mcafee security center is fully installed. I'm behind linksys wireless G speedboost router. I have not changed a thing. I leave my machine on occasionally, it is on UPS system as well.
I tried to boot it up this morning and it will never completely boot. Reboots it's self. I tried safe mode and it frezzes up. I'm running the dell diags that is on another partion. (We'll seen how conclusive it is) I know I can reinstall but I want to know why did this happen when nothing has changed. Has anyone else seen this. I have notice that mcafee occasionally would be disabled. I think this occurs after a update of their software.

Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to Geeks to Go! :tazz: I'm kool808 .

The update must have caused it to corrupt the previous files. Can you still boot up to Safe Mode? We must determine the startup file line which causes the abnormalities, it must be caused by McAfee's startup scan.
