i dont know what the program is but i assume it clears your cache areas. IE/Firefox temp folders ect ect
well depending when the last time you last cleared your cache or reformated your system it can be more or less space.

Yes, it is if you haven't ever used a program like it. It freed up 3.7 gigs on my friends pc.

Yep its a good program. It cleared 1.2GB off my PC on first run and I regularly clear my IE temp folder.

YES that is just normal for CleanUp to clear that big. Browsers (IE/Firefox) usually cache, means to temporarily save a copy of images to your temp foldes for fast accessing/reloading everytime you re-visit a webpage. Imagine temp folder contains more than thousands of pictures with files sizes ranging from a 1 Kilobyte to 1 Megabyte or more.

Assuming you 1,000,000 pictures files of approx. 1 Kilobyte of file size
(1,000,000 x 1,000) = 1 Gb of freed space.

Right, but that will happen any time you delete your I.E./Firefox/etc. cache. And like S_A_A_B said, its almost not noticeable.
