looks like delfix moved all the files and pictures from my library to somewhere, I found them but how do I move the folder icons back into the library?

Odd.  Never had it do that before.  Where are they?

If they aren't in the recycle bin then  it appears they have just been removed from the Library.  Right click on one of the folders that used to be in the library and Include in Library.  Repeat. If its one ofthe original 4 categories (Documents, Music, Pictures, or Videos), that is missing then you can restore it to its original state iby right-clicking Libraries and then clicking Restore default libraries.

now I have an internet problem. I click on ie or chrome and the little wheel just spins. not always, but enough to be frustrating.  fb does it too, almost like I have mo connection but when I click the internet bars on the bottom left it says signal strength excellent.

I would do a System Restore to a point just before we ran delfix.

To choose a restore point, follow the below steps:
  1. From the Start menu, type: Restore in the Search programs and files dialog box.
  2. From the list of results, click System Restore.
  3. In the System Restore window, click Next.
  4. From the list of restore points, select the Date and Time you wish to restore from.

Let's start over then.

Get Process Explorer

Save it to your desktop then run it (Vista or Win7 - right click and Run As Administrator).

View, Select Column, check Verified Signer, OK
Options, Verify Image Signatures

Click twice on the CPU column header  to sort things by CPU usage with the big hitters at the top.

Wait a full minute then:

File, Save As, Save.  Note the file name.   Open the file  on your desktop and copy and paste the text to a reply.

Right click on (My) Computer and select Manage, Then click on the arrow in front of Event Viewer. Next Click on the arrow in front of Windows Logs Right click on System and Clear Log, Clear. Repeat for Application.

Reboot.

Start, All Programs, Accessories then right click on Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.  Then type (with an Enter after each line).
sfc  /scannow

(This will check your critical system files. Does this finish without complaint?  IF it says it couldn't fix everything then:

Copy the next two lines:

findstr  /c:"[SR]"  \windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log  >  \windows\logs\cbs\junk.txt
notepad \windows\logs\cbs\junk.txt

Start, All Programs, Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and Run as Administrator, Continue.  Right click and Paste or Edit then Paste and the copied line should appear.
Hit Enter. Copy and paste the text from notepad or if it is too big, just attach the file.)

1. Please download the Event Viewer Tool by Vino Rosso
and save it to your Desktop:
2. Right-click VEW.exe and Run AS Administrator
3. Under 'Select log to query', select:

* System
4. Under 'Select type to list', select:
* Error
* Warning

Then use the 'Number of events' as follows:

1. Click the radio button for 'Number of events'
Type 20 in the 1 to 20 box
Then click the Run button.
Notepad will open with the output log.

Please post the Output log in your next reply then repeat but select Application.  (Each time you run VEW it overwrites the log so copy the first one to a Reply or rename it before running it a second time.)

Looks like they have changed the default.  In process explorer, View, then check the box for Show Processes from All Users.  Then make a new  log.

Your Process Explorer log seems to say things should run pretty quickly.  VEW shows a minor problem with your FitBit software.  I would try uninstalling it and downloading and installing a new copy.

WMPNetworkSvc is also causing a minor delay on boot.  Just turn it off.  Search for services.msc and hit Enter then scroll down to  Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service.  Right click and select Properties then change the Startup Type: to Disabled and OK.

Let's look at your network connection.

Go to http://www.speedtest.net/and click on Begin Test

When the Test finishes click on Share This Result and then select Forum then Copy then move to a reply and Ctrl + v

Open an elevated command prompt:

Win 7:  Start, All Programs, Accessories then right click on Command Prompt and Run as Admin.

Type with an Enter after each line:

netstat  -es  >  \ junk.txt
notepad \junk.txt
Copy (Ctrl + a, then Ctrl + c) and paste (Ctrl + v)  the text  from notepad into a reply.

Also see if you can run DPC Latency Checker:

The download is:

Just download, save and run it by right click and run as admin.

Do your results have all green as in the first picture on http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml ordo you have red columns as in the second.?
