Hi waynegr,

Have you contacted Sky? There is a possibility that the rules for passwords have been changed and yours did not meet the criteria. This happened to me a while ago with my ISP email client.

Contact sky at Contactus

Please let me know what they say. I'm curious. :)

Also, I am going to edit out your email addresses so spammers don't steal them and use them against you. Never post your email address on an open public forum. :)

Hope you don`t mind the interjection Wayne and Donna respectively  :)

Sky seem to like folk try to contact them by telephone rather than by email but they do have an automated system that you could try, Sky Help here

Hope it helps.

Oh gosh, phillpower2, please do. If I am not mistaken, isn't Sky an Internet Service Provider located in the UK? I was truly hoping you would see this topic.

In my post, I should have provided more detail. There is a number to call after clicking through a few options. Wayne, click on the image attached below to enlarge it so you can read it better:

Aye Sky subscriber myself Donna  :)

There is a possibility that the issue is with your Live Mail account so would suggest that if you have not done so yet you give the following courtesy of the MS forums a try;

For Windows 8:

1. Click the Windows button on your keyboard.

2. Type Control Panel and hit Enter.

3. Click Programs.

4. Click Programs and Features.

5. Search for Windows Essentials 2012 on the list and then select it.

6. Click Uninstall/Change.

7. Click Repair all Windows Essentials programs.

For Windows Vista/7:

1. Click the Start menu.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Programs.

4. Click Programs and Features.

5. Search for Windows Essentials 2012 on the list and then select it.

6. Click Uninstall/Change.

7. Click Repair all Windows Essentials programs.

For Windows XP:

1. Click the Start menu.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Add or Remove Programs.

4. Search for Windows Live Essentials on the list and then select it.

6. Click Change/Remove.

7. Click Repair, and then click Continue.

In addition, please try to reconfigure your account. This will refresh Windows Live Mail and might also fix the issue. To do this, kindly follow the steps within this link(Follow the steps of To remove an email account then To add an email account).

You're welcome, Wayne. :) Please let us know what they say. If they can't get this resolved, maybe since phillpower2 is a Sky customer as well and is more familiar with the account sign in process, he may be able to help. Not sure, but I have seen that man perform miracles I never thought possible. :notworthy:

Hi folks,

Now I can't sign into Sky at all ???

It appears that your account has become disabled and the only way to reactivate it is by contacting Sky via the telephone, the original error code suggests a yahoo server error, have you by any chance been accessing the account on a mobile device such as an android or mobile telephone, using third party apps can apparently cause this type of problem.

Thanks for words of praise Donna, alas the magic wand cannot fix this one  :(

I think maybe that Sky has control of the magic wand on this one, phillpower2. Something tells me that Sky may have disabled the account.

I had the very same thing happen to me a few weeks ago though it was due to backscatter. My ISP email account was bombarded with these bounced spam emails and after I tried deleting 100's of the emails, my ISP disabled my account. This thought crossed my mind when I first read your post, Wayne, but you did not mention any strange emails that you have been receiving. If you have, don't click on any of the links in them.
