Hey everybody,

I'm facing some issues with an Excel document. I can read it so well, but I cannot edit or add something 'cause it's protected by a password. I tried some tools to solve the problem but no way.

I would be so grateful if you help me on it.

(Excuse me for my average English, I'm french). Have a nice day wherever you are.

Hi Monia Mehersi,

and welcome to our forums

:welcome:

Your knowledge of English is great ..well done!

I downloaded your excel file opened it, entered some data into the second worksheet labelled " Combinaisons 3 matchs" and it opened fine without any need to enter a password, I then saved the file ( with the test data) under a slightly different name with no problems.

It makes me wonder therefore if there is a problem with your installation of Excel...?

May be it would be wise to ask a friend who also has Microsoft Excel on their computer if they can also open the workbooks and edit them without having to provide a password

More information here:

https://support.offi...&ad=GB&fromAR=1

Fortunately there was no password protection on the file your submitted....

However its important to note that we would not advise on how to break a password (if the file was password protected) as this would be against our forums Terms of Use as we have no knowledge, here on the forum at long range of the rightful owner of any password protected material...

I hope this helps you

Regards

Hi Fabrianco,

The answer is set out in my previous post.

The file was not locked and there was no password on it.
