So the third party app to check whether or not my apps are up to date, is not needed if I have bitdefender ? or is it possible that the third party app works better then the build in vulnaribility in bitdefender?

Vulnerability in bitdefender, it was disabled (I think I did it manually) , but enabled it now,  I only enabled the update about apps:

The Vulnerability Checker in Bitdefender is perfectly fine to use as a Application update checker.  It may not check for every application you have installed but will check on the applications with exploits / vulnerabilities that need to be updated.

As to the Notification Icons, have you rebooted your system since running DelFix?  Also check in Settings (All Settings) > Personalization > Taskbar > Notification area > Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
