Hello there

a thread needed help, so I wanted to give a solution

and after completing and rearranging how steps (big deal for me as I am not good with fast typing) when I click on submit I got this error (You do not have permission to reply to this topic.)

thread is

http://www.geekstogo...ze-of-29-bytes/

I was replying this

It looks like someone hacked your PC and Encrypted your files
or simply files are hidden due to Virus
let's see if your Files are hidden or something else

Your Picture says your OS is Windows 7 so here are the steps

1. Open my computer
2. Click on Organize
3. Go to Folder option

4. click on View tab

5. check> Show hidden files, folders, and drives

6. in some cases uncheck > Hide Protected Operating system files (recommended)

see if you are lucky to see your files and folders now

(don't forget to set folder option to old settings if you don't want to delete system files accidentally)

update the thread if you still can't find the files

I am new here, so not sure why its not letting me post

kindly review my issue

thank you
