Hi cottay and welcome to our forums
SATA hard drives are relatively inexpensive these days and many shops will sell you a suitable drive, just choose the make you prefer, pay your money and away you go.
If you want to improve the performance of your computer in terms of speed and start up etc then a SSD would make a huge difference.
They are considerably more expensive than a "spinner" and often folks have an SSD of lesser capacity for their Windows operating system and Apps, with a separate "spinner" for data. (Not normally available for laptops as generally they have space/connections for only one hard drive)
There are also hybrid devices that combine a SSD with a conventional spinner so you get the best of both worlds.
Post back if you need extra information
