I have researched but can't find what I am looking for ---- I have a TCL  58-WF33MO-JKLAB ----  It did not have a Blue Ray transmitter built in. 

I have seen that there is a BR transmitter that can be purchased --- but all the ones I have reviewed stops the audio sound from the TV and makes it all headphone. 

 

What I am looking for is the ability for my partner to listen and adjust the volume on TV for her preferences and blue ray head set which allows me to listen and adjust the volume to my preferences.

 

Is there such a set-up avaiable???

think they still want sound out from the tv speakers so won't be able to use the headphone out socket with that transmitter because using that connection will usually cut sound off from the tv speakers in my experience so will need to use the optical/toslink connection which from my understanding doesn't cut out the tv speakers.

Maybe, don't really know for sure.

 

I do know that when I connected my Samsung soundbar to my Samsung TV, it ask if I wanted to use the soundbar instead of the TV speakers. When I answered Yes, it silenced the internal TV speakers and the soundbar (and subwoofer) are now active (and sound great).

i guess it depends on the tv, with mine soon as i plug anything in it automatically kills the tv speakers.

 

mines a samsung tv too.

Yep. Fiddling around in the settings on the TV last night, found out that I could get both the TV speakers and the soundbar working at the same time. Bit weird though, like maybe a tad too much reverb. Could be due to a delay in the sound signal getting to the soundbar, and/or subwoofer I suppose. Probably sound okay with a rock concert cranked up. 8-)
