What version of windows are you going to run?
Hope you have the disk since it's not going to clone.
Win 7 doesn't like drives bigger than 2 GB tho it can format it if you switch the drive to GPT instead of MBR:
From a post at:

Things you will need to do.
1. The board must support UEFI
2. The OS has to be 64bit Win7 SP1 or Win8 or 8.1 (Or 10)
3. Boot with DVD but start with UEFI Boot not standard Boot, to do this lauch the boot device list and it should say
DVD and UEFI DVD
4. Delete the partition and create a new one, Windows will create additional partitions along with it. This makes it to GPT
5. Install Windows.
As far as power requirements.
I found this:
Power Consumption
- Idle Power, Average (W):
- 5.0 (8TB)
- 5.0 (6TB)
- 3.5 (5TB)
- Typical Operating, Random Read (W)
- 7.5 (8TB)
- 7.5 (6TB)
- 5.5 (5TB)
- Power Supply Requirements: +12V and +5V
This from a reivew of a Seagate drive. (Failure rate on Seagates is so bad I can't really recommend them.)
From a review on a WD Red drive:
https://www.pcper.co...elium-Hard-Disk
you can see that a 1 TB used about 3.3 so I wouldn't think it would be a problem if it used a few watts more. Equivalent to adding a second drive which most desktops are designed to do.
Also read the review comments for another reason to avoid the Seagate drive.
