Hey guys!
So, a quick note: I have PM'd this to a select few on the Avast! Webforums. I've recently found out, most of them are no longer active. (And only 2 or 3 may actually read it.)
So I've come here as well.
Recently purchased the Steam Controller/Link and is in the process of setting it up. I'm not able to access anything aside from Steam Pop-Ups, launched from "Steam Library Games". One of these games, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead is heavily modded, to include DayZ, as well as other mods that are needed to play the servers we play.
I figured out the launch options, but the server just kicks me out, which is OK. That was choice #1. The second option was to add the launcher of the game (DZLauncher), into the Steam Library. The only problem is, it requires UAC permission, which requires the mouse, making the controller.. useless. I looked through a number of websites on how to whitelist this app within windows, with no relevant answers. Every "solution" is centered around adding shortcuts, and elevating the permission using Task Scheduler. Steam will only accept EXE files to launch. No shortcuts on the desktop, sadly.
Which is why I'm here. Is there a way to tell Windows, App "DZLauncher" is OK to run, no matter what, without disabling UAC as a whole?
OS is Windows 7 Home 64Bit.

I googled a video of the program, and came across something previous searches had not uncovered (Which marks this thread as Resolved).
M$'s Compatibility Toolkit 5.6 32Bit solved the problem. A video exists demonstrating how to use it, and how it works. Its made my launcher function without UAC (Both from the EXE and the Shortcut. Steam has no problem with it, which is of course the goal, and more to the point, doesn't cost money :-).
