Hi,

I operate Final Cut Pro 7 for video editing on my old Mac Pro desktop from early 2008. A few days ago, it lost the ability to open up existing projects, though I can open up a new one. It also won't capture anymore. I have trashed the preferences a few times, to no avail. Any suggestions?

Related to the above problem, I tried capturing to Final Cut Pro 7 on ANOTHER computer, my new MacBookPro, 2015 model. It needed an adaptor to go from Firewire 400 to a Thunderbolt connection.

I've found that there is no such thing so I had to go form Firewire 400, to an adaptor with Firewire 800 (female) on one side to the other side which is a male Thunderbolt connection. But when i try to

open up the capture window, the program crashes. Any way around this?
