I have Vista operating system - downloaded Firefox as various internet sites "nagged" at me about my outdated Internet Explorer which I liked. But now Firefox says they won't support Vista as of Sept 2017? I was going to switch to Windows 7, But it seems like that's not going to be an option either.

All I want to do is look things up on the internet and do use my e-mail. I'm at a loss of what my next step is. I didn't want to go to windows 8.

Do I have have options other than windows 8 if I want to use the internet? Thanks

Try Opera.  It still works on XP so should be quite happy on Vista.

You can also use Avast's SafeZone Browser which comes with the free Avast antivirus.
