Hi

I've had Altec Lansing ADA995 5.1 speakers for over 10 years, and the subwoofer has finally stopped working. I'm wondering if there is some way that I can still use my 5 other speakers (or at least the front left and right speakers). The rca connectors of the 5 speakers are a little strange in that they have unique shapes at the end of the plastic to make it easy to plug in to the subwoofer, but I'm hoping that they'd be compatible with other subwoofers (please see attached pic). I've never had any problems with the 5 speakers.

My budget is about £100 ($130).

Will these Altec Lansing speakers be compatible with a new subwoofer or would it be better to go for new 2.0 speakers? Some examples are listed below:

1) Edifier 1600 TIII 2.0 Speakers

https://www.amazon.c...eywords=edifier

2) Edifier R1800TIII 2.0 Speakers

https://www.amazon.c...ds=edifier 1800

I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks for reading.

Jeremy
