I have both a att and yahoo e-mail account.  I got e-mail from att.net saying yahoo e-mails being merged June 28..  I don't want to lose my yahoo account and certainly don't want to lose the old e-mails (which are not saved on my computer, but saved in folders on I guess att & yahoo sites?

Also, is this the new att.net a "spam" or for real.  And, is there a way to save my e-mails that are now saved at their site in folders (saved to my harddrive or on cd's or jump drive?

My computer is old with Vista operating system & both Outlook (old) and Oprah web browsers.  Thanks

Verizon bought Yahoo's major part, but it should be Yahoo as we know it under Verizon unless stated otherwise. Ergo, you may keep the Yahoo Mail.
You can read more of the news on Yahoo isn't really going away (at least, not yet).
