Hi All,

In a nutshell, I don't want this feature update. But I still want the other windows security updates. I have downloaded MS's "show or hide updates" troubleshooting package and changed the feature update to "hidden".

Will this work??

I want to make sure that when I now allow my computer to "install updates and shut down", it will install all updates EXCEPT this creator one - I have already accidentally installed it twice now and had to roll back to the previous build - a process that takes HOURS!  :headhurt:

Thanks for any help.

Why do you not want to install Creators Update?

It prevents my backup program from working and I don't think it's wise to not be able to back up my system.

Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode.

No. But I probably wouldn't want to risk doing that for something that important.

Well that doesn't surprise me, MS like to bully people like that.

The the Creators Update includes new innovations, features and security capabilities. This is the reason Microsoft will want you to install Creators Update.

I updated to the creators and it was the worst thing I could have done.

I had to roll back to the windows 10 anniversary due to touchpad and mouse problems.

No more touchpad.

Mouse isn't visible without the usb mouse plugged into the laptop.

USB mouse can have a mind of it's own now, even after rolling back!

It was all a nightmare and still is.

I updated mouse drivers, uninstalled, downloaded from the Toshiba site the drivers and still I can't fix the problems, even rolled back the drivers.

Nightmare.. :(
