I am running Libreoffice on Windows 7 on a Dell Latitude E6420. I am only using under 40 percent of the ram and very little of the CPU power an everything else runs fine but LibreOffice runs horrendously slow. It will have a 10 or more second delay when I try to type something.  How can I fix this?

first thing i'd do is make sure i was using the latest version and everything was fully updated, os, drivers, etc. etc.

if that didn't solve the issue then see if one of these work to speed things up for you.

  1. Open up LibreOffice Writer.
  2. Click Tools -> Options.
  3. Click Memory (under LibreOffice).
  4. Increase the Graphics Cache -> Use for LibreOffice value (try 128 MB to start and increase further if needed).
  5. Increase Memory per object (try 20MB to start).
  6. Click OK.

99% sure problem is in malware, not in system optimisation or drivers.
