HP-M6-1125DX
2.50GHz 3rd generation Intel Core i5-3210M Processor with Turbo Boost Technology up to 3.10GHz
8GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)
all specs

Came with 2 4GB ADATA PC3-12800
Laptop had blank screen when booted, only signs of life power light, red light WiFi, Caps lock key blinking 3, 3, 3, etc
Troubleshooting ended in in it being the RAM
Tested in RAM in husbands HP-g4-2275dx that takes the same RAM, it wouldn't run either
Replaced with 2 4GB Kingston PC3-12800, booted up fine, seems to run fine.
What I'd like to know -
1. Is there something else wrong with the computer that made the RAM go bad? Or is this just an odd thing that we've never had happen before? Have had 6 desktops, and 7 laptops. Actually still have all of them and they all run.
2. The other laptop we used to test the RAM - my instinct is telling me to replace the RAM in that one with Kingston also. What do you think?
Thanks for reading and for any advice
