surprisingly i never created recovery data before. only after what i went through with bsod i said i better get on it. but i do have system backup file on a flash drive right after i got pc backup running normally again. should i create recovery file and replace system backup?   also noticed this ex fat..shouldnt it be fat32?

What backup software are you using. What type of backup did you create with your backup software. A full system image or ? If you created a full system image of your clean setup then you do not need to create a Windows recovery disk unless you prefer. I would recommend that you create a Rescue disk from your backup software which will allow you to boot into that software and restore your image.

I used aomei backupper to do backup of system not an image.

I would recommend creating a full system image of your computer. Then if you have any issues or want to revert back to a clean start it is very easy.

ah thx for that bro. at the time of this post, iam creating recovery on flash drive. the (ex)fat issue is cleared up. better to be safe than sorry!

 

ok, the recovery cycle is backing up...but its taking a long time. its now 95% complete, yet it hasn't moved yet. . is this normal? its past 2am here!  how can I abort without corrupting the flash drive?

 

​ok...its taking way to long, I cancelled the action. will try again early tomorrow! :no:
