Just want to double check, on this page https://www.microsof...nload/windows10 I'm supposed to download the Create Windows 10 installation media correct?

Yes, but you want to choose to create a disk for another computer so that it creates a Windows 10 .iso File. Then run the setup file from the iso from within Windows 10. You can either mount the iso or extract with something like 7zip.

Did the repair, seems like it installed ok. Just went to run system restore and have no restore points, the repair turned system restore off.

Sorry about that. Did you not perform a backup before running the repair? Hopefully with the repair install your system will be much better and you don’t need to restore now.

No, didn't backup because I had a feeling something would be wrong with it. Let's just hope system restore works when I need it and that app staging error still isn't there.

It might be a good idea to test the system restore. However, it is not very reliable and I highly recommend using a disk imaging backup method program such as Macrium or EaseUs to do backup.

I'm not a fan of backup programs as they tend to mess up more than they help (ie Acronis). This is the first time with this appstaging error that restore hasn't fixed the issue.
