Ok, here is the thing. My boss game me a computer. He claims that it worked at his house. The computer boots up perfectly, however the keyboard and mouse don't work and that includes trying to get into bios. I have tried all of the usb ports, bought a ps/2 converter and lastly changed the cmos battery and still nothing...I don't understand what the problem could possibly be. Help!

:welcome:   Driley6383,

Have you tried any other USB devices such as a thumb drive to see if they work in the USB ports once Windows has loaded.

It would help if you could post some computer specs for us.

"The computer boots up perfectly, however, the keyboard and mouse don't work and that includes trying to get into bios."

Do you have anything else around that you can test the keyboard and mouse with? You can plug them into a smart tv or the likes to verify that they are working. If they do work, then the problem is with the computer.

However, without further information on the particular computer, I'm afraid I can't offer much more help. I'll check back to see if you provide any more info.
