DSL Technicolor T582n router, upload speeds 0.72Mbps-0,89Mbps

Before I go in the router settings and screwing something up. What would the upload speeds be at 16Mbps download speed be??

I google low upload speeds and read way too many responses to be an easy fix.

I open my router settings page to look for firmware upgrade but no dice.

Where do I start? Bought a new PC and doing updates was the 1st thing it did and it took over an hour, so  ran a speedtest, that's when I noticed low upload speed...

I rent here and the internet is included, would a better router help???

If you have an ADSL set up then on a 16mbps download I would expect something around 1mbps upload or perhaps a tad less. So for an ADSL your figs are about right.... different though if you have DSL rather than ADSL and definitely on the slow side if you have Fibre, either FTTC or FTTP (if you are in UK)
