Hello,

I attempted to re-install 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 13' DVD and received the following prompt, 'Installation Failed - Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure.'

The software was purchased at the Staples office supply; a known retail distributor of software. Hence, why does Adobe's system believe that this copy of 'Photoshop Elements 13' may not be a genuine copy?

After all, I was prompted to enter in the serial number (that Adobe advised that users write down) after purchasing this software, and the DVD installation went fine.

How can this be resolved?

Thank-you

I could not understand Adobe's Customer Care Forum; that is nothing specific or understandable on  'Installation Failed - Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure.'

The prompt in Adobe's registration form didn't ask for the 'Redemption Code' - but did ask for the 'Serial Number' that users were asked to write down.

Quite the 'head scratcher."

Yes, it is.

I'm rather certain that only Adobe will have direct access to their "Software Verification" server(s) and routines.

On reinstalling Photoshop Elements 13:

Enclosed is a LINK to the 'Installation Failed and Launch Errors' thread: https://forums.adobe.../thread/2158414

The LINK seems to come closest to the difficulties in reinstalling Photoshop Elements 13. Yet, for those of who are less technically inclined, difficulties are apparent in inferring the gist of how to successfully address difficulties in reinstalling Photoshop Elements 13 DVD.

You might try posting a screenshot of the error as well other helpful info in a new message in Adobe's Feedback.Photoshop.com community. https://feedback.pho...hotoshop_family

Unable to sign-up for Adobe's Feedback Photoshop community; that is upon signup, a 'verification code' is sent. After entering the 'verification code', a prompt mentions 'invalid verification code.'

Another different 'verification code' is sent, and  once again, an 'invalid verification code' prompt upon login. Got four different verification codes....all listed as 'invalid verification code.'

What's going on??

Okay, to refer back to the thread (LINK) 'Installation Failed' and 'Launch Errors,'  the troubleshooting of installation/launch issues involves handling installation logs (hence the difficulties here are with our own PCs). Need guidance regarding the handling of installation logs in LINK. To hopefully resolve issues.

Cool. Looks like those instructions can walk you through analyzing your log file(s).

...analyzing these log files can help resolve issues that occur while installation, See: https://helpx.adobe....gs-cs5-cs5.html

For a list of possible errors that appear in your installation logs, refer to the following help document: https://helpx.adobe....s-creative.html

To know how you can find, read and analyze installation log files click here: How to review Installation Log files?
