Hello! I have a problem with connecting my headset to my newly-installed Windows 10 laptop. I don't know if this problem is in its hardware or in its software. Whenever I connect a headset device (that works) into any of the jacks, it doesn't work. I've tried fiddling with the drivers and so far no success. I have a feeling its on hardware, but I don't know.

The sound drivers I have right now (and the drivers before I fiddled with them) are Conexant SmartAudio HD (the one that uses the speakers) and AMD High Definition Audio device. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

What is the brand and model of the laptop?

Check the laptop manufacturer website for Audio drivers for your machine compatibles with Windows 10.

Sorry for such a late answer.

I have a Toshiba C40D-A.

I don't have access to the laptop right now since I'm going on vacation, but I'll check the audio drivers on the internet. Thanks!
