I finished my pc atleast i thought till i plugged it in and turned the power supply on and the motherboard turns on with some led and and orange light at the bottom right, and the graphics card have lights but no fans run on either graphics card or case nor the cpu cooler either and the case power switch does not work either idk if anything is plugged in wrong but if you guys can tell me somethings to check that would be awesome. My mother board is an asus rog strix h270f, power supply is Corsair - VS 550 W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply, and case is Ranger r4r. THANKS!!

The surest way to troubleshoot your issue, is to start with a bare bones build and test.

My questions may seem unnecessary and instructions simplistic, but bear with me so we cover all possibilities.

 

Do not run the computer again as with the CPU fan not working, it is possible to damage it.

 

If your case came with a rear I/O shield installed? did you remove it and install the one that came in the MB box?

Did the stand offs on the case MB plate match exactly the number of corresponding holes in the MB?   no extra ones left behind?

 

What CPU?

What Cooler?

What RAM.

What GPU? 

What storage device, (drives)?

 

Please answer all the question and post beck your replies.

Cpu= i7 8700k

Cooler=cooler master hyper 212 evo 82.9

Ram= kingston fury 16gb

Gpu= asus geforce gtx 1080 8gb strix

drives= samsung 250gb ssd, and 1tb wd hard drive.

Sorry to say, you have a compatibility issue between the Motherboard and CPU.

Your MB has a Intel® H270 Chipset and supports 7th/6th Generation  CPUs.

If you want to keep the CPU, you will need a different MB and also ensure the RAM compatibility.

Then choose an Asus MB.

 

If you want to keep the MB, you will need a different CPU.
