I recently purchased a 256GB rom 10.1 " Tablet   MTK 6797 from China .  Unfortunately  Baidu is the search engine and the Google Play in it doesnt work in the USA. Naturally when adding existing Gmail, the error msg comes up  "unable to contact Google servers. try again later ."  

 

The seller sent a Desktop.rar file to fix the firmware .  Followed his pictorial instructions, using  BeTools app , the " zzzzz file" comes up as syntax error . Im still waiting for his next reply 

 

 

I need help from someone here with this ...   the right MTK 65xx/ 67xx firmware and flash tool  to load on my computer so i can link to tablet correctly. I ve tried all the youtube videoes which deals with android smartphones, not tablets.  This tablet has 2-sim card to be used as a phone too..but I m hesitant to try thee phone app  until i get the firmware to work in the US.  It doesnt like msn email addresses. It wont link and times out 

 

Or is it better to strip out the current China Android software and re-install a domestic US Google android software. ??

for $67 and has 256GB rom SSD Tablet, Nothing like that in the US.  Let you know in a week.

I think this device needs jailbreak.

Oherwise it's better to get your money back.
