I can not hear the person on the other end of a Skype call.  They can here me, but I can not hear them.  This is the case regardless whether I initiate or answer a "call."  I removed Skype and reloaded it - it did not solve the problem.

 

My speakers are working (I can hear music, YouTube, videos, etc.). 

 

I'm running Windows 10 on my PC.

If you can’t hear anything, you may have the wrong audio out device selected in your Skype audio settings. If more than one device is listed, make sure that the device selected matches the headset or speakers you are using.

I'm sure you checked all that but check again..

Thanks for the reply.  I went into my Skype settings, clicked on Audio and Video.  The Speakers section has three choices:  1.  Speakers ((Realtek High Definition Audio);   2.  Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio)  [This is the one currently "checked"];  and 3.  Default Communications Device.

 

I changed the selection to Speakers and now Skype works.
