I'm probably not the best to ask about new PCs.  I don't really keep up with new stuff.

 

 

I bought an HP hp model 15-db0069wm from Walmart Xmas before last.  It was about the cheapest I could find that had a Quad Core and 8 GB.  It was slow booting so I replaced the hard drive with a 1TB Samsung EVO SSD.  The whole back comes off so it's not too hard to clean the heatsink which used to be a weakness on the older HPs.  It's not super quick but does everything I need and the screen isn't too small.
