Don't know what's wrong with your time stamps.  Mine look normal when I run WinDirStat.  Sometimes the system does not apply the TimeZone to the results so they may be in GMT and not EDT or whatever you have but that shouldn't make a difference of days.

The Windows-BT is a back up of the previous version of Windows

See: https://www.howtogee...-you-delete-it/

Search for

event viewer

hit Enter

then click on the arrow in front of Applications and Services

then i Microsoft then Windows

Find StorPort and click on the arrow in front.  There should be three sub entries.  The admin one usually doesn't have any entries but click on the one for health and see if you see any yellow or red marked events.

Repeat for Operational.  Copy the text for one of the informational operational entries.  Should look like this:

Error summary for Storport Device (Port = 0, Path = 2, Target = 0, Lun = 0) whose Corresponding Class Disk Device Guid is {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}:
There were 13 total errors seen and 0 timeouts.
The last error seen had opcode 0x0 and completed with SrbStatus 0x4 and ScsiStatus 0x2.
The sense code was (0x2,0x3A,0x1).
The latency was 0 ms.

(Highlight text and then Ctrl + c to copy.  Ctrl + v to paste.)

thanks for the link. seems like some things have been getting run from that folder for some reason.

any idea on the mis matched data size? explorer shows 125 but windir shows 137gb. also still trying to figure out this extra 60 ish gb of data thats not mine or windows.

here the info... health has no yellow or red but operational... ya.

Error summary for Storport Device (Port = 0, Path = 1, Target = 0, Lun = 0) whose Corresponding Class Disk Device Guid is {79efeddc-7653-d72b-ccde-bfca320021d3}:
There were 7 total errors seen and 0 timeouts.
The last error seen had opcode 0x85 and completed with SrbStatus 0x1 and ScsiStatus 0x0.
The sense code was (0x0,0x0,0x0).
The latency was 0 ms.

Could you copy a few of the Operational errors?

What is being run from the bt_Windows?

I'm thinking we may need to run a chkdsk on the C: drive.  That may help with the difference between what windows sees and WinDirStat.   Will probably take all night the way your system is running.

Open an elevated command prompt:

http://www.howtogeek...-in-windows-10/
http://www.eightforu...indows-8-a.html

(If you open an elevated Command Prompt properly it will say Administrator: Command Prompt in the margin at the top of the window)

Type:

chkdsk /r C:

hit Enter.  It will say it can't do it now and ask if you want to schedule it for the next reboot.  Say

y

Enter.  Then reboot.  The disk check should start.

the errors seem to bounce between these 3 things.

You have the same file as on my computer.

Did the disk check make any difference either to speed or the unknown folders?

You might try optimizing your drive.  Windows is supposed to do it automatically these days  but maybe it's broken.  Right click on the C: drive and select Properties then Tools then Optimize, Optimize.

See if you can get Who Crashed to work:

http://www.resplendence.com/downloads
Then click on Download free home edition

where it says:

WhoCrashed 5.51
Comprehensible crash dump analysis tool
for Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP/2012/2008/2003 (x86 and x64)

Right click on the downloaded files and Run As Admin.  Once you agree to the terms and Install it then Finish it should open Who Crashed.  Click on Analyze.  Once it finishes scroll down to the bottom and copy the report and paste it into a reply.

I was afraid of that.  See if any of the reasons that a crash dump might not show up are valid for you:

https://www.resplend..._dumpnotwritten

Also try the Crash Dump Test Utility and see if it can create a crash dump.

Next time it happens try to get a picture of the full BSOD.
