Sorry for the late late late reply! I kept putting this off and then off again. How are you doing? Thank you for leaving my topic open for this amount of time, it is greatly appreciated.

 

This past weekend, Windows updated to a newer version. I am wondering with this newer version will the updates commence on schedule once again? So far, it seems like they are.

 

Also, what is your opinion on CCleaner? Would you recommend using it? I used to always use it but with this newest version of Windows, Windows removed the app from my computer saying "It doesn't work on this version of Windows"

Hello mlansky,

 

As long as Windows keeps updating you are fine and never felt the need to use CCleaner but believe that it was once a helpful program to have but only as long as the registry cleaning tool was left well alone, seen many an OS over the years that have been damaged by users messing with things that they shouldn`t.

Do you recommend any other program(s) besides CCleaner or do you recommend just clearing your browser history before closing down your browser after a session ie. should that be enough?

 

I will keep you posted on how the Windows Updates go. Hopefully everything runs smoothly.

Never used the likes in all honesty with about the only thing that I ever did use pre Windows 10 was TFC by OldTimer which unfortunately is not compatible with Windows 10.

Hope all is going well with you. Everything is running smoothly with my updates so far. So hopefully it continues that way *touch wood*! I just had a quick question. Would you recommend updating to Windows 10 20H2? I was reading if you already have version 2004 that this update should run smoothly with no problems. Is that true? I just wanted to ask you for your opinion.

Version 20H2 contains all the bug fixes that were required for/to put version 2004 right so yes you should update asap.

 

Golden rule/s number one as ever, back up all important data first and be sure to create a new system restore point.

Once again thanks for the reply. I will let you know how I make out with it once I do the update. I have already backed up all important files up with Google One Drive but I will create a new system restore point as well.
