Hi there,

My laptop has a pop-up window that repeatedly appears. I'd like to make it stop.

Pop-up window is shown in attachment (2021-01-08 pop-up.PNG).

Clicking "OK" has the pop-up instantly re-appear (albeit reset to a default position on my screen, in case I'd dragged the old one elsewhere). Likewise if I click "Cancel" it will re-appear, unless I click it a lot.

I sometimes plug my iPhone in to this laptop, but rarely, and it wasn't plugged in this time when the pop-ups occurred. I also think I still have Skype installed on this laptop, but I don't think it was running when this pop-up appeared, but I could be wrong.

This pop-up began appearing intermittently several months ago. I think it began after I attempted to sign a pdf file, and in the process had to create certificates to do so. These certificates appear under the "More choices" option (sorry, I did not get a screenshot before I experimented with pressing "Cancel" a lot and lost the pop-up window), along with 1 other certificate from a 3rd party (can't remember which company, sorry).

I signed that pdf via Foxit Reader. I think that's when I created the certificates, too. A screenshot of the Foxit Reader pop-up is in "2021-01-08 Foxit reader certificates.png". This pop-up is accessible via the Protect --> Digitial IDs menu. I have blurred information that contains personal information (name, email address)

Next time the pop-up appears I can take a screenshot of details on "Click here to view certificate properties" and "More choices", but both contained what appeared to be personal information or unique serial numbers.

If you'd like to get a handle on what is running on my machine, please have a look at this post here (I ran these tests while this pop-up was present): http://www.geekstogo...sets/?p=2655981

Note: rather than crowd out that topic with another issue, I've created this new topic to deal with this separately. I hope that's the right etiquette here.

Any guidance, thoughts or tests I could to do remove this pop-up from appearing would be most appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Hello Lumpyc,

I've created this new topic to deal with this separately. I hope that's the right etiquette here.

It is not the right etiquette, but i understand your thinking.

Let Kinner finish up with you and i am sure he will address the issue.......

thanks
