Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.gov.uk (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards).

Common problems are:

Bad Date & Time: Are you sync'd with Internet time? https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/ef0cdb1a-8f8a-4b8e-bbe5-44566223a4bc/how-to-sync-system-clock-with-internet-time-in-windows-7?forum=w7itprogeneral

Malware Proxy:  Try disabling proxy:

Temporarily Disable Proxy Service or Web Accelerators
  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections tab.
  2. Select the appropriate Internet Service:  Click on LAN Settings if not using dialup
  3. Clear/Un-check all boxes under Automatic Configuration.
  4. Clear/Un-check the box under Proxy Server.
  5. Click OK.

Disconnect Internet and reconnect.  Does it help?  Verify that the changes took by repeating the above.  Malware will often put the proxy back by the next reboot.  Some anti-viruses also use proxies so it may not be an infection.

Malware DNS:  Search for

cmd

right click on Command Prompt and Run As Admin.

Type:

nslookup  www.gov.uk

hit Enter.  Should say:

Server:  dns-cac-lb-01.rr.com  <==This depends on your provider
Address:  209.18.47.61 <==Depends on provider

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    www-gov-uk.map.fastly.net
Addresses:  2a04:4e42:1::144
          151.101.4.144  <==If you get a different IP address let me know.
Aliases:  www.gov.uk
          www-cdn.production.govuk.service.gov.uk

Malware extension in your browser.  Go into Settings on your browser and look at the Add-ons and Extensions.  Disable all of them.  Restart browser.  Verify that they remain disabled.  Try the connection.

Improperly configured Browser.  Try downloading a new browser: Opera

https://www.opera.com/download

Brave: https://brave.com/download/

If all else fails, post your FRST logs in our malware forum.  (Read the first post in the malware forum to get FRST)
